Delvon Gulley’s first game at UAB came against a familiar opponent. As a true freshman at Alabama A&M in 2024, he lost to Alabama State in the Magic City Classic, and he circled the 2025 opener.

Gulley signed with UAB out of the spring transfer portal, turning down Power Four interest. He arrived after a freshman season at A&M with 29 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups in 11 games, earning FCS Freshman All-America and All-SWAC second-team honors.
At Saraland, he played safety before moving to cornerback as a senior, and corner has always been home.
